Submitted by Kenneth Pennington on Wednesday, 11 February 20092 Comments

While build 7022 was released just this past week on the internet via P2P networks, users have already been informed about a build 7025 that has not been released for download. Now, thanks to a German site called “WinFuture.de,” the build version titled build 7032 has screenshots and information leaked to the internet. The build, 7032, or 6.1.7032.0.winmain.090129-1812, 7032.winmain.090129-1812, was compiled on January 29, 2009.

The main change to Build 7032 since the Windows 7 Beta, build 7000, is the incorporation of Internet Explorer 8 Release Candidate 1. The build version of Internet Explorer 8 RC1 in Windows 7’s 7032 build is, of course, 8.0.7032.0.

In addition, new themes have been added to the 7032 build of Seven. The styles: “Architecture” and “Characters” have been added. Architecture features a blue theme with wallpapers that reflect the theme’s title in the background. Meanwhile, Characters is a green-ish brown theme with some assorted wallpapers.

Some icons have been changed as well. The “Homegroup” icon has received an update as well as the “Control Panel” icon seen when you mouseover the Control Panel in the start menu.

Windows Explorer has made it easier to move files by fading out windows while selected file icons are cut out and moved around.

Changes in the functionality of the operating system are limited. Microsoft’s Paint has received an update, as it did already in builds 7022 and 7025. Paint now includes the Office 2007 “ribbon” theme and has extra utilities. Windows Media Player 12 was updated as well, from the Beta version, to include a sidebar that allows access to radio and television.

Many users are paying attention to the User Account Control problem that Microsoft has received criticism for not noticing. But, in this build, the User Account Control mechanism remains unchanged. Microsoft does plan to fix this problem by the final release, maybe by Release Candidate 1.
