Microsoft has released a reliability update for Internet Explorer 8 on the Windows 7 Beta operating system.

Windows 7 Beta and Server 2008 R2 users may receive a “Parameter is incorrect” error “when there are more than 15 characters before the dot (.) in a Domain Name System (DNS) domain name.” Microsoft has released a fix.

Earlier last week, Microsoft pulled their Windows 7 Beta release when their servers were overloaded with a heavy bandwidth surge. Microsoft had initially committed to just 2.5 million Beta product keys, but now in an unprecedented move, Microsoft has decided to lift the 2.5 million limit in an attempt to win over as many Beta users as possible.
